OPT-OUT
Branch's canon is mostly an upbeat goofy kid's canon with pop songs but it also has some slightly morbid in-a-fairy-tale-way elements.
The biggest one is that his people used to be caged in a big tree in the center of a town of big people called Bergens and regularly eaten because troll magic allowed the Bergens to feel happiness. Branch suffered personally due to this as a child, with his grandma sacrificing herself to save him from getting eaten, and taken away and eaten instead. Not long after, the trolls had to tunnel their way to freedom and run away into the wilderness as tiny refugees, pursued by the Bergens.
While most of the trolls didn't react the way Branch did, opting to be super upbeat as is their way, he dealt with these events with realistic levels of trauma and neuroses, becoming angry, cynical, paranoid, and distrusting, going so far as to become a hermit to stay away from the loud noises/singing of town (that he feared would attract Bergens) and digging and stocking a survival bunker.
He will be very cautious around so many big people and afraid they might get it in their heads that he looks delicious.
Please comment below with the number and, if relevant, "Dialogue," "Non-dialogue" or "Both." Also pick any combination of opt outs you need.
Options:
1) Opt out of being tagged by him entirely. While it's easy to avoid having him bring things up, he is a little distrusting and clearly has some serious issues, sometimes having neurotic freakouts, and I'm always cool with avoiding tagging someone.
2) Opt out of dialogue and/or non-dialogue references to parental death. He has a lot of guilt about this wrt to his grandma but also doesn't openly talk about it easily, so it's easy to avoid.
3) Opt out of dialogue and/or non-dialogue references to, uh, cannibalism/people getting eaten, I guess. Like the Bergens had morbid recipe books with little dead trolls prepared as food in them. The trolls treat it as terrifying and disturbing so it'd be played straight.
